Perhaps is was the intensive linework, or maybe it was just the composition. Whatever it was, Lost within... by *NegativeFeedback struck me as so amazing and expressive, I really couldn't wait to show everyone. ( Suggested by elusive and Featured by oilsoaked )

Very intricate! Love your lines, and I also really like the mental image of a person being a maze. I know I've felt like I was trapped in a maze of myself plenty of times before.

Very beautiful! I know Rabarama's art very well :), and yes it is true that there is something similar. Anyway, Rabarama art is really variegated in the decorative patterns (you can see many sculptures of her here: [link] .

Since we are talking about Rabarama please consider to try this official competition on Rabarama:

"RABARAMA ON A 2.0 EARTH - A fan art prize"
End date: september 22, 2012

go: [link]

IMAGINE YOU ARE A VIRTUAL PERSON LIVING IN THE VIRTUAL IMAGE OF OUR WORLD GENERATED BY COMPUTERS. WALKING ON THE STREETS YOU FIND A STRANGE, INTRIGUING BIG SCULPTURE. AND YOU PHOTOGRAPH IT.

Rabarama's art is strongly "public-art" and now it is also "public-internet-art" since her artworks are present also in Google Street View ( Google).
Now you can find Rabarama's monumental sculptures also when you "walk" on the internet.

This is a competition about this Internet presence: imagine you are a virtual person living in the virtual image of our world generated by Internet. Walking on the streets you find a strange, intriguing big sculpture. And you photograph it.
We will select the best picture* (subject: Rabarama's sculpture) taken from Internet: you can choose the perspective, you can modify the image, you can "photoshop" it as you like.
All the pictures will be published on Rabarama's official Facebook fan-page and the Artist herself will choose the winner, to prize her/him.
There will be also a special "public prize", for the image with more Facebook "likes"

HOW TO PARTECIPATE:
simply go to Internet and search for Rabarama's sculptures.
Take the image* (you can also take a photo with your camera or phone).
If you want, modify it as you like.
Post it in Rabarama's official Facebook fan-page [link]

THE PRIZE(S)
Best "Rabarama 2.0 fan art" image: the image with more "likes" will be awarded with a signed rabarama's graphic, "Codice genetico" ("Genetic code"), number 58/100, 70x70 cm

" RABARAMA ON A 2.0 EARTH - A fan art prize ": the winner will be chosen by Rabarama and awarded with a signed Rabarama's graphic, "Codice genetico" ("Genetic code"), number 57/100, 70x70 cm and a catalogue with a Rabarama's dedication to the winner.

The winners will be selected on September 22, 2012. The results will be posted on Rabarama's official Facebook fan-page [link]

This was the image that introduced me to your work here on deviantART, and by all means, I'm glad it did.

Another deviantART member had this piece of yours listed as an item in their "Wishlist" and as I was perusing their DA page, I noticed this image. Immediately I was taken by it and had to know just who the artist was. Clicked on your deviantART alias and ... lo and behold, I've spent a good 6+ hrs. now (and counting) just exploring your galleries over the past two days all because of catching a glimpse of this particular piece.

Glad I did. Definitely glad I did. Probably one of the best artists I've seen in the last couple of years. Just amazing stuff that covers a broad spectrum of ideas / concepts / and mediums by which you turn your thoughts into reality.

Looking forward to much more incredible work from you.

Take care,

v242

am aflat de Chirnoaga acum un an de la un prieten (roman) de pe deviant si da avem teme in comun

you know what's interesting?

i just came to realize that this concept might represent a forthcoming stage in my life

i've come to the conclusion that i will try to approach my life more like this being...for the sake of my own well-being

.

in my present life experience, i've found that participating within the reality gives me nothing but depression...due to a desire of wanting to do something, but not having the energy or will to enjoy and accomplish it

however, participating within the mind gives me the freedom to visualize and think about whatever makes me feel good...which i believe is the most important thing in life

besides, my circumstances are perfect for this to happen...i'm detached from any responsibilities to this world

all i need is to break free from any beliefs that try to hold me back...and i might truly be free :)

I'm glad this touches you

however for us normal creatures :) the best way is to balance the inside and outside
actually we all do that more or less, you just need to find where your balance is
(this comes from someone who isn't a very social or attached to reality person :D)
good luck!
someone once said that we are never as happy as we could be, nor as unhappy as we think... or something like that :D (it's from ghost in the shell 2)

I guess you're referring to the new title :)
well, with the labyrinth and the pose I wanted to portray someone who LIVES inside his mind, someone who feels at home inside his head, and the labyrinth shows the complexity of the mind and not a feeling of being lost
so mindscape basically stands for "picture of my mind" (like land-scape)

my early works are part of a series called "mindscapes" because they are just that: pictures of my mind

I hope this cleared things up a bit :)

someone who doesn't participate in their physical surroundings, but keep their focus enclosed within their mind
