The Time Eccentric by hypnothalamus The Time Eccentric by hypnothalamus
all the time eccentrics convey a sense of hopelessness combined with a terrible determination... for me they represent machines of survival, with all that it implies (like the way their perception and feelings and the very nature/structure changes as an adaptation to counteract the passage of time)
they are or are struggling to become immortal, out of time, hence their eccentricity/displacement/removal from the main flow of the universe surrounding them

Your investigations astound, Lucian, and to first flesh this out on paper would have been enough for any artist, but you've brought it that much closer, and it is a physical proof, as you say, of "a terrible determination." We can feel that by looking at the bound-tight (but barely containing) figure, marching but hobbled. Wonderful facial expression you've sculpted! An intriguing piece.

This one felt a long time coming! Worth the wait without a doubt :D The mixture of hard and soft lines works brilliantly and the whole piece really conveys what it was intended for ^^

I don't like it; I ADORE IT ! :D

That is really great!

It looks like me, waiting for the last minutes of work time in the factory, feeling stuck between the machines, chained by the clock...

I don't like the shoes, too specific, too human - the hand/feet look better as far as I'm concerned :)

Very interesting. The fear that rises as the impression becomes fully felt indicates your talent, skill and imagination.

maybe you don't like the color but before painting it looked like made of patches of different colors, it lacked any kind of unity (and once I painted in green it started to look like a sculpture)
anyway I'm planning to redo this differently and make a mold - afterwards I will use different types of resins to cast it :) and different color themes

i liked the raw patchy look. and something about the metal against the orange and white was very appealing.
and can't wait to see more! :D
