The effect of the added umm... shine (?; I cannot currently think of the right word.) makes it seem as if I'm looking at a picture with plastic or some sort of aesthetic real material, and not just a traditional drawing. It's beautifully lovely, and not in a very "normal" sort of pleasant way. I very much like this.
