This concept is wery close to something I wrote about in one of my novels. The Chamber of the Worlds and it's Cherubine guardians...

I really enjoy the scribbly details of the glasswork, is it graphite or some kind of ink? The mix between digital colouring and crude graphite shading really makes the light pop out.
This kind of work makes DA worth a while.
