Behemoth by hypnothalamus Behemoth by hypnothalamus
Sometimes the link between a golem and a handler can give rise to a behemoth, but its emergence can come only from the interaction and cannot be predicted from the separate characteristics of the two.

Your gallery is stunning, and the products of your imagination are a pleasure to observe. :) Fantastic anatomical / life drawing skills underpinning it all, too.

Beautiful shading and lighting in this one!

This makes me shiver, but its really... calm. And peaceful. Like a gentle giant that makes you scared, but keeps you safe.

you have a very miyazaki way of taking the strange or terrifying and making it beautiful. well done.

Yes but my visions are a lot darker and different than his. I've always found his to be quite naive, though I do like some of the movies. However I consider most of Oshii's work to be much more profound and even more beautiful.

Your creatures are really original, and for some reason bring peace when normally someone must say itīs disturbing. Itīs nice! :squee:

you've captured exactly how I feel and what I intend to do with the images. it's that peace and sensitivity, expressed in an apparently contradictory fashion. :)

Because manticores or strange, bizarre, unusual creatures? :) And you can do all sorts of unique, and fantastical things with them.

yeah but I need to link them to some idea, feeling, story first... such as this one, besides the surreal approach it's also about passion, love, inspiration. that's how my mind works, it spontaneously finds some hidden meaning in certain things and then I create stuff around them

that's how my brain used to work too but more or less based around macabre, if you haven't seen Silent Hill I'll highly suggest it to you! :D

macabre and horror movies usually don't inspire me at all and I generally don't watch them, but I might find the visual part interesting

Visually, since the "creatures" are all mashed together might be something you'd find interesting :)
