When you gaze too much into the abyss
You start seeing a reflection of yourself
Wonderful piece. It reminds me of a quote from Fernando Pessoa.
"We never know self-realization. We are two abysses--a well staring at the sky."
Lately I've been trying to discover why I decided to "become" an artist in the first place. My only answer had something to do with a compulsion to be good at something, until I discovered your paintings. Now there are a lot of people out there who dig deep into their minds (or maybe their creativity just boils up closer to the surface) and come up beautiful, provocative paintings, but by chance, yours have hit me at just the right wavelength. I especially love this piece, and I'm reminded what is so wonderful about art. The puzzles you create--the conversations between the hemispheres of the brain--are delightful. And sometimes nauseating. And I think that's great.
for me art, this type of art, has always been THE most expansive way of evolving, to stretch my mind beyond what is/seems to be
and of course in is many other things as well... but this is, I think, the most important
thanks for the quote, think I heard it somewhere before, but it's always nice to be reminded of it
This is very eerie, but super interesting. Love it though. Fantastic shading, concept, and use of color. Really enough to make a person stop and think.
Way out! I love It!
damn concept.. mind blowing.
Creepily good. Keep up the good work!!
This reminds me of the final boss of the game "Catherine." So trippy. Simple color effects really did make this picture POP! Beautiful detail, also.
Strong work... a little weird but fantastic. No one can remain indifferent.
This is fantastic!
+1 Reminds me of the borgs
this is great. really creative
Oh wow...man, this is fantastic.
This is amazing
Greedy and self-destroying. Is that what this character sees in the abyss?
woow, strong picture
It feels like 1984.
This art, and the statement in your description just sum so many emotions. It's moving. Congratulations.
Lemmings that rip my flesh?
It really really hurts.
Well, I can see the modified Nietzsche quote, but I can't see the picture. Says the image is broken.
You sir are so freakin amaizing. I get inspired from every freakin picture you make. Highly incredible!
I like mice. take care :]
Lives up to its name!!
